Secure Area
CEII Certification - This process allows the user, once certified, to access the Secure Area of the this web site. Note that Base Cases and any underlying data are considered CEII and are obtained through this process. Steps to become certified for access to CEII information are listed below.
- STEP 1: Request and obtain from FERC the FERC Form 715 Data (that includes CEII data) for the Southern Companies. This request must be submitted each year subject to the participating transmission owner's determination.
- STEP 2: Have a current SERC Confidentiality Agreement in place. Obtain the agreement from the following link and follow the appropriate individual or entity link to the left of the page. http://www.serc1.org/Application/ContentPageView.aspx?ContentId=24
- STEP 3: Have a current Southeastern Regional Transmission Planning CEII Agreement in place. View agreement.
- STEP 4: The SERC Confidentiality Agreement along with the Southeastern Regional Transmission Planning CEII Agreement should be faxed to 205-257-6654 or sent via electronic mail to the sponsors of this regional planning process.

- STEP 5: Submit a request for access to the website's secure area via the Contact us form. Be sure to include all information required (e.g. name, e-mail, etc). Once you are approved, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail with a username and password.
- STEP 6: To access the secure area, click on the secure area link at the top of the website's homepage, then click the login button and login using your username and pasword provided in step 5.
